Robin Gibb Wanted Bee Gees Song Played At Funeral

Robin Gibb reportedly asked for the Bee Gees classic track 'How Deep Is Your Love?' to be played at his funeral.

The singer passed away in hospital on Sunday (May 20) surrounded by friends and family after an ongoing battle with cancer.

The track was featured on the massive 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack, and topped the US charts in 1977.

"It's a beautiful song, penned by a beautiful person," a source told The Sun. "It couldn't be more appropriate when we all say goodbye."

Stars including rock star Bryan Adams and singer songwriter Mick Hucknall also paid emotional tributes.

Bryan Adams wrote over his Twitter: "Robin Gibb RIP. Very sad to hear about yet another great singer dying too young."

The Script said: "R.I.P. Robin Gibb. We met Robin+Barry in NY. Such a lovely guy. Prayers 2 his family. 2 many Legends being taken from us 2 early :( G"
