With a bevy of celebrities cheering him on, our favourite member of Team GB Tom Daley has admitted that he is likely to be diving for a bronze medal at best in the 10m platform Olympic final tonight (August 11th).

Tom has been tweeting his adoring fans following his performance this morning, which secured him a place in tonight's final. He made a huge improvement on his preliminary performance to qualify in fourth place for tonight's final, with a score of 521.10.

Dominant Chinese duo Lin Yue and Qiu Bo are likely to cause Tom to miss out on a gold medal tonight, but there are plenty of people who are confident he can do it.

Actress and comedienne Miranda Hart is among them, tweeting the 20 year-old diver this afternoon to assure him she will celebrate in style should he dive his way to gold:

"Off to see Tom dive. If he wins Gold I will jump in the pool in my bra and pants. Then we'll see who should have the swimwear advert." We can't wait to see that!

Tinie Tempah sent a message of support via Twitter, too: "Looks like we're all supporting Tom Daley, what's his twitter, I wanna send him some love & support, he deserves it! :)"

Chris Moyles soon joined in, obviously inspired by the Games to keep up with his recent health kick: "I just ran my fastest 5 mile run in 37:30. I am fired up for Olympic action. Sending positive vibes to @TomDaley1994 and all TeamGB"

It wasn't long before teen heart-throb Conor Maynard got involved, saying: "Yooo @TomDaley1994 massive good luck for tonight man!!! Dive right into it :D hahaa ahhhh that wasn't funny. #TeamGB !!!!!"

Speaking after his dive today, Daley said: "With the men's platform, bronze is almost gold and then anything above that is platinum and beyond.

"It's going to be very tough but in diving you just don't know what is going to happen".

Back in the Olympic village, Tom tweeted: "Nap time before the finals! China seem unstoppable at the moment! But anything can happen! See you on the other side!"

Having scraped through last night’s preliminary qualifiers, Daley admitted that today served as a well-needed confidence boost.

We're all behind you, Tom! Good luck from Entertainmentwise!
