Karen Gillan has given us a sneak insight into the importance of style on the set of Doctor Who, insisting that getting Amy Pond's wardrobe right took "hours and hours" of work.
Karen's character Amy burst onto our screens (and into the Dr's life!) sporting a much-talked about police woman's uniform back in 2009. That now infamous skimpy skirt showed off Karen's gorgeous pins and since then the actress reckons Amy's wardrobe has been vital part of her persona:
"I think its one of the most imporant things to capture the costume, it says a lot about the person and the character."
Real-life fashionista Karen also revealed to Entertainmentwise's Georgie that she had a lot of personal input into Amy's dress-sense for her final series (boo!) as the Doctor's assistant, confessing the team spent "hours and hours and hours" on the wardrobe choices!
